Sealed MINT Absorbing 2018 collaboration between Raincoats founder Ana da Silva and Japanese experimentalist Phew. Created through a long-distance exchange of sound files, Island layers hypnotic analogue drones, primitive rhythms, industrial textures and fragmented voices in Portuguese and Japanese. Austere, cavernous and occasionally luminous—a compelling meeting of post-punk instinct and experimental electronics.
